Patrol

The ALSC patrols the beach between Mordialloc and Edithvale.

The clubs primary focus on a patrol day is ensuring the safety of the swimmer between the flags.  Flags are usually set up in front of one of the ALSC Clubhouse.

Training

ALSC runs a number of Bronze Medallion camps at the club throughout the season.

Members can train for a 'crew' award where they learn how to safely crew for the driver, undertake rescues and maintain a rescue boat.  After 12 months with a crew award, members can train to become an IRB 'driver'.

IRB drivers and crews are required for each patrol and water safety activity.   Members can choose to undertake further training to compete in IRB carnivals during Autumn and Winter months.
